Handy tips for project funding success

Once you gain initial acceptance, you will be asked to “pre-qualify” by demonstrating your plan for the 4th “S” — completion assurance Security. With Security lined up, your next step is to prepare for Due Diligence, where the project’s package (or “file”) is the maker/breaker for arranging funding. CAP funding allows for streamlined Due Diligence when clients facilitate their own Security, though project finance always starts with determining if a project is financially feasible, with reasonably low commercial risk.

Is you are already prepared and plan facilitate your own Security use this DIY guide to Due Diligence success. However, if you intend to ask your In3 Affiliate if either bespoke or Impact Guarantee Fund Security “sponsorship” is right for you, see these DFY product descriptions and then “Done For You” (DFY) guide to Due Diligence expectations.

You may also want to review and use these handy reference guides:

  1. Develop a “financeable” package, especially “Section 8. Components of an Investible Project Package” (scroll down)
  2. Avoid making mistake #4, Improper (opaque) estimation or limited understanding of cash flows
  3. This ties into the depth, quality and transparency of Financial Models (building “investor grade” financials)

As we have recently launched the Impact Guarantee Fund, we are working diligently with underperforming asset owners to provide them with extra cash while also addressing some of the world’s most pressing problems, in line with In3’s Investment Strategy.

Toward that end, the following 1-page “end to end” procedure captures how we work with asset-backed Standby Letters of Credit (SbLCs). Download this document to access the live links included in it.
